It has been a great weekend reuniting with my family!
Friday afternoon, Dan flew down to San Diego and we got a whole 18 hours of non-kid time! We had a great time walking around La Jolla, watching sunset, grabbing dinner, and shopping.
Saturday morning we flew home and Aunt Debbie brought the kids to the airport to greet us.
Alli was standing at the bottom of the escalator with her adorable "Welcome Home Mommy" sign, and as soon as she saw me at the top of the escalator, she came running. It was the cutest thing, but I was so worried the mean guy manning the exit area from the terminals was going to yell at her the way I've seen him do before. But luckily he was nice enough to let it slide, and I got my big welcome home mommy from Alli that I had been waiting for for 6 weeks!
Charlie was hanging out in his stroller, and boy has he changed! I hardly recognized him, and I think he thought the same of me! It took him most of the day to adjust to me (sad, but expected!), but I'm glad to report he's happy to let me feed/change/play with him now!
Here are some pics from the happy homecoming!
